Scale Protection will start performing BSA™ analysis in Oman for PDO and other operators. A laboratory has been set up in Muscat with a Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) with Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDX) setup. The service will be provided in cooperation with the laboratory ALS Arabia.

Riham Najim Al Kitani is employed as our laboratory engineer in Oman. She has a BSc within chemistry and has been trained within SEM operation and scale management in general, both in Oman and Norway.

Scale Protection is now able to provide analysis to define type and amount of scale and corrosion particles in produced water with the same high quality and short turnaround time as provided to our current Norwegian and British customers.
